The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad has organized a workshop entitled (The mechanism of practical training for students of nursing in the relevant government institutions) in the presence of faculty members in the Pediatric Nursing Branch. The workshop aimed to find a unified mechanism adopted by the trainers to train and evaluate students in various educational institutions related to the growth and development of a healthy human being.
The workshop also included reviewing a selection of educational institutions related to social affairs that are concerned with the development of individuals, which is one of the basic subjects in the curriculum of the Pediatric Nursing Branch. It is noteworthy that the training requirements have been updated from the preparation of scientific health reports and the use of standard growth plans appropriate to each age group and urging students to provide health events in practical training places under the supervision of the teaching staff. The workshop recommended activating the student’s positive role in learning during practical training with the use of standardized assessment requirements in all training sites.
