Prof. Dr. Assad Taresh Abdul Ridha, the director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad, has discussed during a visit to the Patriarch Louis Raphaël I Sako, the general situation in Iraq and the future of the Christian denomination. They stressed the need for enhancing the lives of Christians in the country in light of the general situation at present, especially matters related to the political and security issues, since they represent an essential part of our country. Dr. Assad Taresh added that the Christians have made a lot of sacrifices to build the political process since 2003 until now, as well as when they contributed in the liberation of the Iraqi territory from the terrorist gangs of Daesh.
