The English Language Unit in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science has organized a specialized training course entitled “Developing English Language Skills and Passing Exams” for the professors of the English Language Department who teach undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The course aimed to develop their abilities in the college in the field of language teaching and exams within the framework of seeking to develop the skills of participants in this foreign language, especially that the college’s curricula adopt English in teaching from the start of the new academic year and work on the development of scientific curricula prepared in English. The course was given by the director of the English Language Unit, Assist. Prof. Dr. Muthana Hamid Khalaf, who tried to review and evaluate the curricula taught at the department, in addition to giving information about how to prepare exam questions and undertake the process of correction, as well as identifying the areas of language in writing, speaking and other linguistic skills, because of their importance in the scientific and research fields, also the use of modern sources and references, and the style of speaking, mastering the correct pronunciation of expressions.
