The University of Baghdad has announced recently that a Badminton Championship is launched on the closed sports hall of the College of Administration and Economics with the participation of all university’s faculties, in the presence of the dean of the college Prof. Dr. Suhail Najim Abdullah, the assistant dean for administrative affairs Dr. Omar al-Ashari and the director of the Department of Student Activities at the presidency of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Qais Qahtan.
The tournament witnessed strong competitions between the players representing the directors of the sports and technical activities divisions in the colleges, where Prof. Raad Qassem from the College of Pharmacy won the first place over Dr. Iyad Ali Hussein from the College of Administration and Economics (2-0) and at the end of the championship the dean of the college dedicated the cup to the winning teams and medals to the participants.
