The professors of the Department of Astronomy and Space at the College of Science are preparing now to observe the partial solar eclipse that will occur on the next Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 1:06 pm and its peak is at 2:23 pm lasting for about 4 hours and 4 minutes, with a visibility rate of 46.3%. The Iraqi professors of science will use the latest telescopes to watch the Sun’s image that would be clearly visible by the people of the Arab region, except Morocco, Mauritania and the Comoros. For the Arab countries, the highest eclipse rate will be in Iraq, followed by the Levant and the northern half of the Arabian Peninsula.
