The First Annual Squash Championship of the University of Baghdad Championship has just started with the participation of the professors of physical education and sports sciences, that was organized by the Student Activities Department and the of Sports Activity Division, in coordination with the Iraqi Squash Federation.
The championship was launched on the playgrounds of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, with the participation of more than 24 male and female lecturers, where the first place was gained by the college of physical education for both sexes and the second place for men was won by the college of Islamic sciences and the second place for women was achieved by the college of media. On the sidelines of the tournament, a squash referee course was held to address the recent changes in this game, then prizes were distributed at the conclusion of this event by the assistant rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Marwan Abdul Hameed Ashour, the dean of the college of physical education and sports sciences and the president of the Iraqi Squash Federation.
