The Department of History at the College of Education for Women, in cooperation with the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, held its scientific workshop entitled “90 years since Iraq’s independence: reality and challenges” on the occasion of Iraq’s entry into the League of Nations on the third of October 1922.
Three research papers have been discussed in this event, the first was presented by the head of the department of history, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Hamid al-Otaibi, entitled (The skill of the Iraqi negotiator in achieving the gains of national independence). The second research paper was delivered by Prof. Dr. Samira Abdul Razzaq al-Ani entitled (Internal and external preludes to the entry of Iraq into the League of Nations), while the third research paper has dealt with the position of the national movement and the press on Iraq’s entry into the League of Nations presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ghaleb al-Daami, who is a member of the advisory team at Al-Nahrain Center.
