The University of Baghdad has announced that it has the first rank at the local level and the 40th place at the level of Arab universities in the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2023 in its latest version.

It is noteworthy that Al-Mustansiriyah University gained the second place in Iraq in the (71-80) place, followed by Nahrain University, Kufa University, the University of Technology in the ( 81-90) position, the University of Basra in the (110-101) place, the University of Babylon and the AL-Furat al-Awsat Technical University that gained the (111-120) position, then the Ninevah University in the (121-130). Also the universities of Soran, Anbar, Dohuk and Mosul that gained the (131-150) position, then the universities of Salahaddin, Tikrit, Diyala, Karbala and Sulaymaniyah in the (151-170) position, followed by Al Iraqia University, Al-Muthanna University, the Islamic University, the Middle Technical University, the Northern Technical University and the Southern Technical University, the universities of Qadisiya, Fallujah, Kirkuk and Dhi Qar in the (171-200) position.
