The Department of Student Activities of the presidency of the University of Baghdad has recently received a number of Iraqi orphan children, in cooperation with a volunteer team for the preservation of antiquities and heritage.
They at first visited the Artistic Activities Division, the Painting and Ceramics Unit, the Music Unit, where children shared knowledge on drawing cartoon characters on paper and were briefed on how ceramics and sculpture work under the supervision of the head of the Technical Division, Dr. Dina Mohamed Enad. The children then listened to a set of special lyrical pieces played by Rana Jassim to bring joy to their hearts. Also the children visited the Equine Unit, where the trainer Mr. Ali Hassan trained them how to tame and ride Arabian horses. Gifts were distributed to the orphan children by the head of department, Dr. Qais Qahtan Dawood, on behalf of the administrative assistant and with the participation of a number of members of department and volunteers.
