The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with Ibn Sina Unit for E-Learning at the College of Pharmacy, has organized an in-person workshop entitled: (Laboratory Safety) where the lecturers were delivered by the Assist. lecturer Zahra Hassan Falhi from the Pharmaceutics branch at the college. She asserted during her speech that the laboratory safety is one of the most important requirements that should be met in scientific laboratories so as to ensure the safety of students, professors and researchers working within in such environment.
The lab technicians should get acquainted with such conditions and requirements to ensure a safe and effective research environment within our college laboratories, especially when dealing with chemical and pharmaceutical substances. The workshop also included information on how to ensure proper handling of these materials and indicate the methods optimal for storing chemicals, also the most important protective supplies to be worn by the workers to protect them and preserving the environment properly.
