The Continuing Education Unit and Ibn Sina Unit for E-Learning in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division at the College of Pharmacy, has organized an electronic training workshop entitled “Quality Assurance in Education” in which Prof. Naser al-Sharif, the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Lebanese American University who is a member of the American Accreditation Council of the Faculties of Pharmacy.
The workshop included several axes, dealing with the importance of quality in higher education, the role of accreditation institutions in raising and sustaining the level of the educational program and the most important pillars of accreditation for higher education institutions. The most important objectives of this event were to spread the culture of quality and introduce the importance of establishing the local academic accreditation institutions and their role in the formulation and development of accreditation standards.
