The Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division at the College of Education for Women held a scientific seminar entitled (Women and Digital Citizenship in the Light of Technology: Reality and Challenges). This event witnessed discussions of research papers in several topics, including the concept of digital citizenship, ways to protect women from their risks and benefit from their benefits, as well as the means of proper upbringing of children in light of the world of programming and surrounding technologies, as well as research in the fields of digital access, digital culture, e-commerce, digital health and safety and digital etiquette.

The seminar reached a set of recommendations, including the school’s familiarity with its role in preparing the digital citizen, developing students’ awareness of the changes of the modern era, how to keep pace with them, deal with them, take advantage of their positives, avoid their negative effects, developing students’ ability to think critically. The lecturers called for further studies in the Arabic language, encouraging students to respect religious and moral values, how to  They also discussed parents and members of the community to introduce them to digital citizenship and its importance on how to do their role in the first upbringing of the child and urge the university’s professors to follow up the scientific digital development through workshops and training courses related to this aspect.
