The Faculty of Medicine, University of Baghdad, received the National Peer-Reviewers Team of the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq headed by the Prof. Dr. Riad Thaidud al-Zubaidi, the dean of the college of medicine at the University of Karbala and the membership of a number of professors from the faculties of medicine in Duhok, Babylon, Erbil and Dhi Qar.
The recent field visit of the National Reviewers Team came as part of the college’s efforts over the last five years to fulfill the accreditation requirements, a addition to conducting interviews with Dr. Ali al-Shalji and heads of the basic and clinical branches at the college, as well as a number of students and graduates residing in Baghdad Teaching Hospital and a number of staff, namely directors of medical units and administrative divisions. The national per-reviewers team praised the efforts made by the deanship and staff and their endeavor to improve the scientific and administrative reality of the college towards graduating competent physicians capable of keeping pace with the global scientific development and technological progress in the field of medicine and scientific research.
