Two students from the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Ali Falah Hassan and Ali Hussein Salem, under the supervision of Dr. Omar Ali Athab have achieved the first place in the second event of the Basra Hackathon Competition for software developers sponsored by the Oil Cultural Center in Basra.

These students have presented their graduation project entitled (Document Certification System Using Blockchain Technology), and after competing with dozens of research and participating projects of software developers in Iraq and from various provinces under the supervision of specialized academic arbitrators and the presence of a group of trainers and assistants. It is noteworthy that The Hackathon event is an international software competition that brings together computer programmers from more than 270 institutions around the world to compete in solving a particular software problem or designing certain applications.
