The director of the quality assurance and university performance unit at the center for women’s studies, Dr. Reem Khamees Mahdi, has participated in the “Chefs of Baghdad Project” supervised by the College of Tourism Sciences at al-Mustansiriyah University in cooperation with several other bodies to train the female residents at A-Zuhoor House for Orphans in Baghdad on the cooking skills in general. Dr. Reem Khamees gave a lecture on “The Mechanism of Personal Skills Development” through the use of the Chefs’ Food Knowledge Test. The lecture included two main themes, namely the developmental aspect and the guiding aspect on how individuals develop their skills as a whole, including cooking as a personal skill that includes several expertise or talents simultaneously.
