Online workshop on the obstacles to women’s empowerment in Iraq

The college of nursing at the University of Baghdad has lately organized a virtual workshop entitled (The obstacles to empowering women in Iraq) via the Google Meet service, in the presence of a number of professors and undergraduate students. The participants aimed to identify and shed light on the obstacles in women’s decision-making in Iraq through reviewing some social values and standards, family upbringing and principles of women’s self-awareness in the community. The lecturers called for re-educating individuals in line with educational curricula and public awareness ethics via TV shows, series & movies, so that women can be rehabilitated and respected as full partners in building the nation.
