Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has recently signed a joint scientific and academic cooperation agreement with the rector of Al-Qasim Green University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Ghatie al-Awadi, with the aim for developing an academic exchange of knowledge and a twinning program for postgraduate studies.
The terms of the agreement included holding joint conferences and seminars between the two sides, exchanging visiting professors, forming research teams for the sake of enhancement of partnership between the two parties, strengthening bonds of mutual coordination in educational, scientific and cultural levels, developing future programs that may in turn serve the objectives of both universities, as well as supervising student research projects in common disciplines of the corresponding scientific departments. For his part, the rector of the University of Baghdad expressed the readiness to support any scientific cooperation whose outputs contribute to providing the educational process with the latest scientific developments, pointing out the importance of publishing academic research in sober repositories since it will upgrade the status of each university in international rankings.
