The dean of the college of science for women at the University of Baghdad has announced recently the development of a smart laboratory as part of its coordination with the Earthlink Telecommunications Company aimed at supporting the community and the higher education sector in Iraq and for the purpose of providing advanced e-learning technologies in particular. The two sides discussed during a joint meeting the specific details of this project such as its location, capacity and equipment, namely the need for supplying the lab with 100 computers with high specifications & required accessories in addition to providing an internet service at the onset of the next academic year.
