Dr. Bilal Najm Abdul Khaleq al-Khafaji, a lecturer from the department of Arabic language at the college of Islamic sciences, has received an admission for publishing research in the Translation Services Journal included in Scopus database, including a joint academic paper entitled “The Strategy of Solidarity in Friday Speeches” extracted from a master thesis presented by the postgraduate student Fajr Al-Nour Ali Mohammed Ali. The research dealt with discourse, which is a form of social interaction, intellectual framework and an expression to communicate ideas with people through an interactive process as well as an analysis of one of the most important fields of linguistic studies that has roots in ancient studies and that has become one of the most important subjects of study.

This study also aimed to reveal the solidarity strategy as an intentional discursive structure that has its presence in the context of the process of interaction and communication between the conversationalists; to shoe the utterances as social acts that strengthen the close links among people; with a reference to the Friday sermons since it include a set of tools and mechanisms that embody solidarity that was varied in the same discourse used in daily life and its closeness to the addressee.
