The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education for Humanities (Ibn Rushd) at the University of Baghdad held its tenth virtual Husseini conference under the slogan “Honorable morals: a path of salvation” in cooperation with the Holy Abbasid Shrine with the participation of a large number of researchers from all Iraqi universities and professors from Arab universities including Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The conference was divided into three sessions, the first was dedicated to draw inspiration from the moral system from the renaissance of the Battle of Karbala for the sake of construction of thought and self, while the second session was to draw inspiration from the morals of Imam Hussein (PBUH) in the historical and societal framework and the last session addressed the inspiration from the Husseini morals in Arabic literature whether in poetry or prose.

The conference aimed to reveal the positive energy of the renaissance of the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him), to spread educational and moral values, and to demonstrate their effectiveness in building man and society. During this event, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hussein al-Fartousi, the assistant dean for administrative and financial affairs delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Allawi Sader Jazie, in which he stated that this conference has become a mark of the college among all Iraqi universities and called for repeating it annually.
