Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Attiyah, the dean of the college of law at the University of Baghdad, has received recently a number of students who have participated in the training program for the settlement of commercial disputes within the framework of the college’s endeavor to pay attention to the practical aspect and develop the skills of its students.
The training program included practical lessons in pleading before commercial courts and arbitral tribunals, including writing petitions, editing and drafting regulations and rebuttal regulations, arbitration procedures in accordance with the rules of international commercial arbitration institutions, practical applications on international trade contracts in accordance with the latest judicial and arbitration trends, as well as field visits to the Court of First Instance specialized in commercial cases and related institutions.
