Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher, dean of the college of media at the University of Baghdad, has honored the director of the media unit Mr. Hisham Khalil al-Fakhir for his efforts in covering and marketing the scientific, social and cultural activities of the college through the Iraqi media during the previous academic year (2021-2022), as well as honoring the technical official of the college’s website Mr. Waleed Mohammed Ridha.
Dr. Ammar Taher stated during his speech that the effective media offices at state institutions represent a link between these departments and the community by highlighting activities, events and achievements made by faculty members and students at the local and even international level, while poor coverage in the management of media offices may prevent the transfer of information to the public. He even expressed his keenness to support competent and distinguished employees when performing the tasks assigned to them and encouraging them to continue their efforts in the service of the educational process in Iraq. It is worth mentioning that the dean of the college of media has developed a special custom and an annual tradition of honoring creative and distinguished professors, as well as competent staff during the academic year, to be an example to be followed by others and which contributes to motivating colleagues to excel during subsequent study seasons.
