The Opinion Board at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held its seventh meeting, chaired by the His Excellency the minister Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, who stressed during his speech the importance of commitment to the institutional path of Iraqi universities and providing the appropriate level of quality of performance and community service in accordance with the pre-approved vision and academic planning for the academic year (2022-2023). Then the members of the Opinion Board voted on the following resolutions:
▪ Admission of the top students from the Ports Institute by 10% of the graduates of the Departments of Port Technology and Port Management of the Engineering Technical Colleges at the Technical Universities.
▪ Approve the multiplicity of examination attempts for students of undergraduate studies who have been succeeded in their study in accordance with the amended Examination Instructions No. 134 of 2000.
▪ Addressing the cases of students with undergraduate degrees in various disciplines who have graduated from universities that are not included in the approved manuals through their enrollment in the last year within the specialization of study in Iraqi universities and within the instructions and controls of the international parallel studies.
▪ Adopting the standards of sobriety stipulated in the form approved by the Department of Scholarship and Cultural Relations in dealing with the universities of the countries that have agreements and programs for cultural exchange and joint scientific as well as academic cooperation with Iraq.
▪ Confirm compliance with the number of exam attempts allowed for equivalency students with a university undergaduate degree in medical specialties from outside Iraq.
▪ Approve the recommendations of the committee in charge of resolving the issues of former graduates of the Institute of Arab History and Scientific Heritage for Graduate Studies and to address the cases of graduates of the same institute who began their study before 2013 and graduated after this year.
