The Department of Home Economics at the College of Education for Women, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit held a course entitled (Sleeping pillow fillings: what is the best option) through the Google Meet service that was attended by the professors Bushra Fadel Saleh, Shaimaa Khalil Fadhil and Rasha Ali Rasul.
The course program addressed the importance of pillows, the selection of pillows, the brand names of medical pillows, important criteria in the selection of pillows, sleep methods and their relationship to pillow selection and studies on pillows and their effects on human body in addition to their types, defects and advantages. The lecturers came up with a set of recommendations, including the use of natural pillow fillings because they are environmentally friendly and safe for human health, and the size of the sleeping pad should be suitable for body size so as not to cause discomfort to the person and the spine should be kept straight when sleeping.
