The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science at the University of Baghdad has organized a virtual scientific lecture entitled “Evaluation of scientific research published in Publons” delivered by Dr. Duha Abdul Hadi with the participation of a number of students, professors and those interested in the evaluation of scientific research.
The scientific lecture aimed to clarify the importance and benefits of the process of evaluating scientific research from experts and specialists in the relevant field, and to identify the various types of models used for the process of evaluating scientific research, as well as to highlight in detail Publons as being a commercial website that provides a free service for academics to track, verify and provide peer review and editorial contributions for academic journals, with a hint to the Clarivate Analytics database in terms of the registration mechanism that should be adopted by professors and researchers since this site is one of the most famous international sites for academic publishing, which works to help open an active account on such websites and how to get free training courses and services provided by Publons.
