The Department of Student Activities at the University of Baghdad has organized a cultural festival and an exhibition of various art paintings that was initiated by the rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, in the presence of the assistant rector for administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad Jaber and a number of Iraqi rectors as well as deans of a number of faculties participating in such initiatives.
This festival included the presentation of a wide range of inspiring ceramic works, abstract painting, creative wood carving and others that reflected the diverse civilization of Iraq. For his part, the rector praised such artworks including some unique colorful drawings made by professors and employees working at the artistic units of all university’s formations whose works reflect the cultural heritage of our nation. At the conclusion of the festival, awards were dedicated to the participating artists by the assistant rector for administrative affairs in recognition of their efforts in this event.
