Prof. Dr. Afraa Ibrahim al-Obaidi and Assist. lecturer Noor Hussein Abdul Jalil from the Department of Home Economics at the College of Education for Women, paid a scientific visit to al-Nabras Private Primary School for Slow Learners with a number of postgraduate students to enhance the students’ close knowledge of children with learning difficulties or disabilities, especially children with slow learning.
The aim of the visit was to identify the programs and curricula allocated to such pupils and the method of diagnosis of the disabled child so as determine the level of study according to his/her mental age, as well as to provide advice, guidance and cooperation between the school and parents to reach the best results to serve the child and the school contains (8) classes from the first grade of primary to the sixth grade of primary and the assistant provided a detailed explanation of the curricula and programs provided to children by age and touring graduate students in the different classes that provide educational and social services And educational for children. Then Dr. Afraa al-Obaidi dedicated the headmaster a series of scientific books related to childhood and some of the children’s educational and psychological problems.
