The Department of English Language at the College of Education for Women, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held an educational workshop entitled: (Advanced English Language Skills) with the aim to develop the skills of participants and train them in some of the many basic rules provided by the English language and a number of electronic applications that facilitate the process of research, surveying and identifying literary types in English literature as well in a brief way to establish the relationship between the process of e-learning and scientific research.
The workshop was divided into two sessions, where the Assist. Prof. Dr. Maha Qahtan Suleiman gave a detailed and comprehensive presentation of the way a paragraph piece, essay or composition are written in English and then gave a useful summary of the actions and their times and arranged words within the English sentences and then allowed participants to write various structural pieces and corrected them. After that, Prof. Inas Sobhi Amer explained the skills of pronunciation and listening to the participants with a variety of paragraphs to pronounce in which the audience contributed to reading passages from selected pieces of texts. The workshop concluded by writing compositions in various topics by the participants and then correcting their language as a means of encouraging people to use English fluently.
