Assist. Prof. Dr. Haidar Mohammed Abdul Hamid, a faculty member from the department of environmental engineering at the College of Engineering, has participated in the consultative meeting held at the Pioneer Research Station at the Ministry of Water Resources with the group of experts from the National Center for Water Resources Management. The meeting addressed the development of a mechanism of work in the field of environmental scientific cooperation and finding practical engineering solutions to address the water problem in the region and finding an engineering way to solve the problem of high percentage of sulfates in water for the purpose of preparing it for human use and agriculture in the region. One of the practical solutions that have been proposed is to examine ways of implementing and installation on a processing unit on site in the near future to get rid of sulfates.
