Under the auspices of the dean of the college of Islamic sciences, Prof. Dr. Neima Dahsh Farhan, the Islamic Science Forum held its 25th international symposium entitled “The problem of the term in the heritage of the Moriscos after the handover of Granada: selected models” in the contribution and presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed al-Mesbahi from Hassan II University of Casablanca in Morocco, Assist. Prof. Dr. Qusay al-Husseini from Mustansiriyah University and presided over by Prof. Dr. Thaer al-Shammari and Dr. Safaa Abdullah Burhan.
At first, Dr. Ahmed al-Mesbahi spoke about the issue of the critical term in Mauresque literature, as this term often presented itself urgently to the Moorish intellectual figures, since literary works would be in the hands of readers with diverse cultural orientations, or varying levels of language, so the frame was multiplied and each intellectual chose the means he saw suitable to pass his creative or religious speech. Then Dr. Qusay al-Husseini addressed the problem of this term added to the literature and heritage of the Moors, that is considered as a new theme studied by the Iraqi scholars, including the following terms (periodization, the Moriscos minority, the wars of recovery, the Domesticated, the remnants of the Andalusians), where he shed light on the problems in the scientific use of such terms and called on universities and colleges to help those specialized in the Andalusian literature to learn and speak Spanish.
