The University of Baghdad has announced recently its entry in the Academic Ranking of World Universities, also known as the Shanghai Ranking (ARWU) 2022 in the chemical engineering discipline. This is considered highly as an important achievement in the history of Iraqi universities in general and the first of its kind for our prestigious university in particular since the date of the adoption of this ranking in 2003. The University of Baghdad got the (401-500) position out of more than 1000 discreet international universities across the world.
