Assist. Prof. Assist. Prof. Khalida Hamid Tisgam, a lecturer from the department of English language at the college of education for women has published a new translated book entitled “Disinformation in ISIS” which investigates in its eight chapters the emergence of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and the organizations that preceded it based upon a conscious and an accurate analysis of a sample of texts carefully chosen by the author, namely “Al-Tawhid and Al-Jihad Group”, “Al-Qaeda in Iraq”, “Mujahideen Shura Council”, “Islamic State in Iraq” and “Daesh” and then the stage of the ” Islamic State”. This research derives its significance from being the first book in the field of cultural psychiatry to analyze the culture and psychology of persuasion employed by ISIS through analyzing its media discourse.
