Assist. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohammed Mahdi, a faculty member at the department of energy engineering was selected as editor of a special issue of the Energies biweekly peer-reviewed and open-access scientific journal, entitled: “Advanced Thermal Energy Storage Systems” that is published by the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) based in Basel, Switzerland.
The journal is indexed within the Scopus database with a CiteScore: 5.0, and in Clarivate Analytics with an Impact Factor: 3.004, and it is classified according to Scopus data in the level 1 (Q1) according to the following disciplines: Control and Optimization (Q1) (18/118); Engineering (miscellaneous) (Q1) (19/115); Building and Construction (Q1) (51/211). It is noteworthy that this special issue publishes scientific contributions in a wide range of research areas, including: thermal energy storage, storage materials containment and thermal energy management.
