Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering has participated in the fourth scientific innovation exhibition organized by the ministry of youth and sports and in cooperation with the ministry of culture, with the participation of a number of Iraqi public and private universities. The University of Baghdad’s contribution was represented by the master’s student Zainab Adel Mahmoud from the Department of Biochemical Engineering who presented a research paper entitled (Design and operation of a light reactor and its use in the treatment of organic waste resulting from various factories) under the supervision of the Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd Attia al-Sarraj, where the project received the shield of scientific creativity and excellence as being the best scientific innovation at the level of public and private universities and the college got the first ranking at the university’s level and the fifth place at the Iraqi universities’ level. For his part, the dean expressed his thanks and appreciation for all participants, wishing them more success to raise the name of their college and university high at the Iraqi forums.
