The Department of Arabic language at the College of Arts has organized a workshop entitled “Poetic Renewal and Narrative Experimentation in Contemporary Arabic Literature” as part of the cultural activities that was attended by many professors of the department.
The workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Faez Hato al-Shara’ and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mahdi al-Zubaidi, with the aim to review and trace the stages of poetic renewal and the most prominent poets in Iraq and the Arab world, as well as to clarify the difference between renewal and experimentation and narrative developments in the Arabic and Iraqi novels, by providing examples of Iraqi novels that paved the way for new stages. It is noteworthy that this event was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Riad Jabbari Shehail.
