The Biological Research Unit for Hot Areas in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the college of science has organized a virtual workshop entitled “Transplant Mediums” with the participation of a number of students, researchers and specialists in biological and chemical affairs from inside and outside the college. The workshop aimed to introduce graduate and primary students to the importance of the transplant community and its types and components and the purpose of its use, as well as the methods of preparation and sterilization and the importance of nutrients suitable for the growth of the microscopic organism in the laboratory in a way that helps the researcher to isolate bacteria purely and then increase them, as well as help to describe developing colonies.

The workshop was presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Sinaa Walid and Assist. Prof. Maysaa Kazim, included clarification of the importance of using medical laboratories, the importance of distinguishing between public circles and specialized circles and introducing methods of development of microbiology, particularly the methods of dish casting, planning and methods used to isolate different species and species of pathological germs, fungi and rot, emphasizing the ways in which they are diagnosed through the morphological characteristics of them or through their chemical products, as well as the clarification of the physical and chemical properties affecting the implant mediums and their components.
