Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim al-Qazzaz, dean of the college of science has recently received the Director General of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Hazim Baqir Taher, to discuss ways of joint cooperation and courses of benefit for the two parties at the scientific level, knowledge investment, strengthening academic relations and engaging scholars in successful experiences.
The Director General of Missions stressed during his speech the readiness of his department to cooperate in scientific and academic fields and enhancing coordination in matters related to cultural exchange with international universities in the field of pure sciences, pointing out that Iraq is interested in developing bilateral relations with all countries of the world and making use of successful educational experiments across the world. Dr. Abdul Karim al-Qazzaz expressed the keenness of the deanship to promote cultural cooperation in light of the approved contexts by the presidency of the University of Baghdad, particularly in fellowships and scholarships, which contributes to establishing convergence and achieving results that serve our dear scholars and faculty members. At the end of the meeting, the dean of the college of science dedicated a book of thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Hazem Baqir in acknowledgement of his visit and hoping the activation of such academic and cultural initiatives for upgrading the reputation of our university in global rankings.
