Prof. Dr. Marwan Abdul Hamid, the assistant rector for scientific affairs, accompanied by a delegation from the National Security Advisory, visited recently the college of engineering to attend a workshop organized to deal with the topic of cyber targeting, entitled (Towards building awareness among Iraqi youth at Iraqi universities against hostile psychological processes, electronic extortion and the risks posed by cyber targeting).
The participants exchanged visions related to valuable information about how to combat online blackmail as well as how to protect our citizens from espionage, penetration and tracking via a set of measures that ensure the protection of mobile devices shared in networks. It is noteworthy that the workshop was attended also by a number of heads of departments, faculty members, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
