The Department of Student Activities at the University of Baghdad has recently organized a festival in alignment with an exhibition on the Arab calligraphy and decoration at the Hall of Artistic and Cultural Activities and in the presence of the assistant rector for administrative affairs Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad.

During his speech, the assistant rector stressed the need for enabling the university to be a center of attraction for all student talents by distributing brochures to the first-grade students who are admitted to the undergraduate studies to keep abreast of the technical courses available at the department of (such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, calligraphy, design, music, sewing, painting on glass, theater and cinema). Also the exhibition also included the presentation of some paintings drawn by the students of the University of Baghdad that won the admiration of the audience. It is noteworthy that this event was attended by several academic figures as well as the director of the Artistic and Cultural Activities Division, Assist. Prof. Dr. Dina Mohammed.
