The Center for Women’s Studies, in collaboration with the Karbala Center for Studies and Research and Al-Qabas Office for Services Office in Baghdad, held the third scientific conference entitled (Women in nation-building: future prospects). The conference addressed several topics, including policies & legislation, research in the field of international community, empowerment & capacity-building as well as mental health. This event witnessed the participation of 50 research papers from inside and outside Iraq.
The main objective of the conference is to contribute to achieving a vision for the future towards developing the role of women in the prosperity of homelands and to benefit from their scientific energies in this quest in addition to studying the reality of Iraqi women to promote their efforts at all levels and to strengthen their role in building society and leadership through focusing on communication between researchers so as to exchange visions about the challenges and solutions proposed and shedding light on the most leading women in the process of state-building.
