The doctoral students at the department of public relations at the college of media held a symposium on “Drug Abuse”, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali al-Shammari, with the participation of a number of researchers.
This event is considered as a part of awareness projects and initiatives adopted by the department of public relations in order to activate social responsibility towards getting rid of this scourge and demonstrating the risks of taking drugs and their impact on the future of our generations that might strike the infrastructure of communities represented by the human energies of our dear country. The symposium was attended by the Colonel Bilal Sobhi Jabr, spokesman for the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, as well as the head of the Psychologists Without Borders Organization (N.G.O), Dr. Kamal al-Khailani, and the faculty member at the department of Sharia & Islamic Thought of Imam Al-Kadhum College, Assist. Lecturer Osama al-Atabi.
