The Department of Earth Sciences, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, has organized a lecture entitled “The right basics of writing scientific research using EndNote software in the process of managing sources” in the presence of a number of students, researchers and those concerned with writing scientific research and specialists in computer sciences.
The lecture aimed to introduce this software which is one of the famous and useful programs in writing scientific research and managing references and includes many sources. One of the useful advantages in the ease of creating new references and using them in different files is the automatic creation of the list of references at the end of a Word file and the creation of more groups and a library of references, categorizing of keywords. The lecture was presented by Prof. Dr. Saleh Mohammed Awad who showed the importance of EndNote for researchers, writers, scientists, students and librarians used for searching for databases on the Internet and its effectiveness in organizing references, images, indexes, lists and numbers immediately, to save effort and time, indicating operating with Windows, Macintosh, Google Scholar search engine system to show citations and references automatically.
