The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Women held a scientific symposium entitled (Problems of distance education and ways to address them in the light of Covid-19 pandemic) to offer some proposed solutions. The lecturers dealt with several topics, including distance education, distance learning, challenges to distance education and obstacles to distance education so as to learn about the reality of distance education in Iraq, highlight the most important electronic requirements and reveal the obstacles faced by the application of distance education in Iraq. The participants made several recommendations, including that e-education in all forms should complement and not replace traditional education, work to strengthen the role of the teacher and university teacher, emphasize its importance and the need to provide the necessary infrastructure of equipment, equipment and means of communication and provide electronic education requirements such as computers and other financial matters.
