The Department of English Language at the College of Education for Women held the workshop entitled “Basics of Academic Posters” as part of its annual plan for holding conferences, seminars and workshops as approved by University of Baghdad for the study year (2021-2022). The workshop aimed to train professors on how to prepare academic scientific posters to participate in scientific forums.
This event included three sessions, the first dealt with an introduction to the academic poster presented by Prof. Dr. Nawal Fadhil and the second one was given by Dr. Hooi Chee Mei from the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Malaysia, who talked about posters presented in international conferences and how to prepare them in addition to their features. The third session was delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Mahdi Saleh who trained the attendees practically in this process and presented some poster models that can be adopted in common events.
