The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with Ibn Sina Unit for E-Learning and the Continuing Education Unit, held a virtual workshop entitled “Overleaf Collaborative Cloud-Based LaTeX Editor” with the participation of a number of postgraduate students, researchers and those interested in this field.
The workshop aimed to identify this software used for writing, editing and publishing scientific documents with a wide range of scientific publishers to provide LaTeX templates for official journals via direct submission links. The lectures were presented by Dr. Safaa Khalil who gave a detailed explanation of the document preparation system, the names of those working in the fields of technology, the addition of symbols along with graduate students who use LaTeX instead of Microsoft Word, as well as what Overleaf provides to a coordinated text editor since LaTeX is encoded for editing texts, adding images and overview or watching the editing document that arises automatically during writing of research, biography, books and other documents.
