The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women has organized a scientific workshop entitled “Creativity in solving research problems” for postgraduate students, given by the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih who at first defined the concept of “problem” as a question matter that explains the relationship between two or more variables, where the answer to this question is the goal of conducting the research, adding that the problem of research is mainly focused on searching for the relationship between two variables (dependent and independent).
The formulation of the research problem was also divided into two methods, the first is to formulate the problem of research in an estimated news sentence, through which the topic is written in the form of a direct sentence that does not include question tools and does not require an answer in its context, but the other is to formulate the problem in the form of a question in which the first question’s tool uses the sentence ending with a question mark. The dean also pointed out the most important conditions of creativity in solving research problems by finding solutions in a pattern unfamiliar to anyone before and this is what we need when identifying the problem, its components, causes and finding out the reasons behind failure in solving it.
