The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women has organized a qualitative lecture for the students of the undergraduate studies entitled “Public Health of Athletes” delivered by the faculty member at the Team Games Branch, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nada Mohammed Amin. The lecture dealt with the health status of the athlete as one of the educational objectives of sports training, as the wrong rationing of the pregnancy of training leads to pregnancy in the sports devices in terms of size and severity, which requires the coach to understand the physiological data to see how it affects the condition of the training.
She also pointed out the most important factors affecting the health of the athlete are genetics, the environment, the human style of life, nutrition, rest and sleep, also indicating the importance of the individual’s exercise through regular exercises that help prevent diseases and pain and work to increase muscle strength, improve flexibility and reduce depression and anxiety. The lecture recommended the need to maintain fitness through regular exercise, stressing relaxation, rest and sleep for the purpose of reducing stress and fatigue in order to maintain energy, participating in promotional activities that help to develop the individual in addition to exploiting him for leisure time, and carrying out comprehensive medical examinations from time to time.
