Assist. Prof. Dr. Safad Hussam al-Shammari, from the department of public relations has delivered two lectures on the role of modern curricula in electronic extortion at the college of education for women at the University of Thi-Qar, and the role of visual media in shaping public opinion at the Continuing Education Center of Nahrain University.
During his e-lecture on extortion, which was sponsored by Prof. Dr. Yahya Abdul Rida Abbas, rector of Dhi Qar University and Prof. Dr. Hassan Sawadi Najiban, dean of the college, he addressed the most prominent modern approaches to electronic extortion, including digital applications, hacking of university accounts, storage, cloud and the circulation of telephone segments, and provided procedural mechanisms to counter such non-traditional outlets. The lecturer then stressed the impact of the products of artificial intelligence in shaping public opinion, and the expansion of areas of misinformation in visual media, due to the technologies of deep falsification, which is producing visual content without any reference to its real assets.
