Workshop on the prospects of giving knowledge to students

The Department of Islamic Doctrine & Thought at the College of Islamic Sciences has organized a workshop for the fourth grade students on giving scientific knowledge or study material to high school students presented by Prof. Dr. Ammar Kamel al-Khateeb. The lecturer pointed out that the method of lecture is one of the most common methods of teaching because of an increase in the number of learners in overcrowding classrooms, which may make it difficult for the teacher to use other methods, for this reason the teachers try to give a systematic verbal presentation of a study material reinforced by visual means, and often defined as (continuous oral presentation of a range of information) but it implies weak participation from pupils or often without any participation in the lesson at all so the teacher delivers information and he becomes the core of the educational process while the student is only a listener.
