The Biological Research Unit for Hot Areas in cooperation with the remote sensing units at the College of Science held a virtual seminar entitled “Performance assessment forms for members of research units” with the participation of a number of faculty members from research centers as well as performance evaluation committees.
The aim of the discussion was to identify the requirements of evaluation of performance in the light of the last calendar form and the mechanism to fill it for teachers and employees in accordance with the instructions set by the Department of Supervision and Scientific Evaluation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the quality system and its contribution to upgrading the level of educational and research institutions and achieving educational quality in the Faculty of Science and its departments, which aspire to be global and high level. The lectures, which were transmitted via the Free Call Conference service, included a review of the most important updates to the scientific forms for evaluating performance in research centers and units, staff and craftsmen, for the purpose of upgrading the level of scientific sobriety, as well as the adoption of the mechanism of work of the electronic evaluation system, as the form includes several main topics, including teaching, scientific and research activities, the educational aspect, other assignments, strengths and sanctions, and the personal skills enjoyed by researchers.
